I apologise if this is badly worded, mis typed or misspelled - I am half asleep but I needed to get this off my chest!
I LOVE artistic nude. I love Fetish photography. I watch =

boxedphotos and more and spray their galleries with Molly love regularly.
But, as Andy knows if I think 'hmm the lighting is a bit off' or 'a little tweak in photoshop would make this 100 times better' I will say so. Because when you comment on an artistic nude photograph it should be the
photograph you're commenting on, not the model!
I feel faintly nauseous at the reams of comments like 'sexy!' 'hot' or (in some bowel churning cases) 'Your body is so soft I want to press my face into your stomach'

Negative comments are also had but there are enough ranty journals about those
The model is not there to titillate. She or he is part of a photograph to convey meaning. Yeah sure it could be a photography meant to arouse, but then something like "Great shot - it has a really sensual feel to it" is far more appropriate than "Nice body".
But what if the photograph is lacking? How do you give critique without insulting the models? Because God knows the knobs out there who like to insult people make it tough for us regular people to critique as models tend to be on the defensive.
You CAN critique. You are not limited to complimenting the only asset in the photograph - ie the model - as that just leads to pages of 'omg hawt' comments which put many people off their tea. When I post my art I want to know if it's technically good and aesthetically balanced, not if it gives you a boner. When I post my stock I want to know if it's high enough quality and useable, not that you printed it off and laminated it.
So, critique... here are a few examples - take them and use them with aplomb. I take cash or cheque
"Fantastic model, as always, but I do think a little extra editing would make this pop a little more."
"Great composition - maybe try tweaking the curves in photoshop just to bring up the contrast a little."
"I do like this one but I think it would be awesome if you played around with the colours. ~
AliceInUnderland has some awesome actions specially made for portraits and nudes

"
"The concept is good but the crop is a bit awkward. Maybe try *insert whatever here*"
"I think this would be tons better with a clean backdrop. A sheet pinned up, even if it's patterned, is a great way to maintain the focus on the model

"
They're all quite similar

but hey, I hope people understand what I mean
NEVER criticise the model. That is rude and unhelpful. By all means suggest pose/expression amendments, costume amendments or any technical changes but the model, his/her appearance and anything remotely personal is off limits.
Got it? Good.
